i swear i learnt alot on this trip.
especially on thursday afternoon during the workshop,
and on friday morning when Mrs Gan lectured me
because of my stupid outburst.
ah, yes, and the girl talk with Mrs Chee and Mrs Gan
on Saturday night before the party.

Hong Kong people are cool.
they can wear anything they want and strut confidently up the street
and nobody else cares if you wear yellow tights or blue tights or purple tights
because everyone else is busy caring about what they should be caring about.

and to tell you the truth,
im shocked by the fact that throughout the five days
i missed my brother more than any of my other relatives.
hahahahaha
i got him drumsticks!

and i deeply apologize for not getting some people anything
but really, there wasnt much to spend on!

and mom is putting me on a guilt trip because

he speaks English with a Hong Kong accent,

and attempts to speak like Singaporeans; "so lah!"
he thinks Timon from Lion King is a dog.

he likes to wear a yellow jacket with a red hood
and annoys those sleeping by saying
"wakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeupwakeup"
a hundred times in one breath in a specific tune.

and when we're ready to alight the coach,
he will say,
"readyreadyreadyreadyreadyreadyreadyready",
also a hundred times in one breath,
not to mention in a specific tune.

THAT'S how annoying he is.

but he is smart.
he can answer riddles correctly in a jiffy.

but damnit i couldnt take a single nice photo
without the having a reflection of myself on the glass window.

and faced the Continental Hotel
and saw a couple making out.

and they saw us pointing and looking
and the man went off to the other room
OMG IT WAS ADORABLE 'CAAAAAAN'!

i was stupefied by the technology used
for the Symphony of Lights
(all the buildings across the sea / ocean / water
had colourful lights and the lights played around while
music was played at the background)
but it got boring because
the song wasnt upbeat enough.

Saturday, exchange with the hongkong school:

they started their performance with a song
that made me think, "aiyah, noob"
and then proceeded to a song
which sent everyone's jaws six feet under.

(there was only one first trumpeter and he was more than marvellous)

the tones of all the trumpeters are like Tiac Woo's,
event the thirteen-year-old section leader's!
and the Hong Kong girl, Ivy, and Deon had chemistry uh, not bad. ^^

the first trumpeter is called Calvin.

Zany: i want to live in Hong Kong!
Calvin: *laughs*
Jam: have you been to Singapore?
Calvin: yes... once.
Jam: do you like it better than Hong Kong?

LOL i asked Bruce (the section leader)

and Ivy got over-enthusiastic when she saw our souvenir for them.

and one time a whole group of girls just crowded around Deon
and everyone (including me and Shaffiqa)

was screaming at the top our lungs.
im so proud of him!

and that night we had a party at the hotel!

first we crashed Haziq and Deon's room and
prank called people and girls jumped on beds
while guys jumped on other guys!

then i went around taking random pictures of people on my holga
and then i ate cup noodles
and used Ahdila's phone to call my mom
and Madi and Zul!

Ahdila: this is the pet's association and
we want to inform you that you can collect your dog, Sparky.

oh and on Sunday we went to OCEAN PARK!
i rode the corkscrew thing!
and the Abyss and Eagle and all the awesome rides!
it wasnt THAT awesome but it was a reward for us
for being punctual every day!

the fireworks started at 8pm
and for someone who grew up with nothing but

it was so much more than i ever asked for.

i knew all the songs they played at the background music by heart
and it brought back countless childhood memories.
it's not a wonder why i couldnt stop tearing.

and really, i had the time of my life.
i wouldnt trade it for anything.
.. or maybe a trip to Neverland.


it's good to be back.
but it's better to be in Hong Kong.
