"They tell you that you've got to have a heart of steel
If you want to keep up, can you afford to feel?"

first things first.
the first day of school was very, very, very annoying,
to say the least.

one, my class mentor turns out to be my chemistry teacher.
everybody who's anybody knows
that a teacher doesnt have a good impression on you
if you suck in the subject they teach.

my chemistry teacher's going to be the one
wiriting my testimonial at the end of the year.
so i really need to buck up on my chemistry.
big time.

wait... what are atoms again?
oh shit?!

two, Mr Kan is no longer our physics teacher.
im shattered.
]=

three, the PA system didnt work.
on the first day of school. (!)
it was mighty embarrassing,
because there were parents everywhere!

and some parents even insisted on
walking their secondary one child
to the parade square
.
alamak save face lah haiyo!

and yeah some even stood outside the school
and watched our flag raising ceremony,
in which we sang the National Anthem, acapella version!
hahahahaha

oh, oh, and four, NOT a good hair day.
but who wants to look at my hair anyway, hahahaha

five, there was band practice.
on the first day of school. (!)
(and the day after, if that isnt bad enough)

six, the teachers made us sit through a talk.
the teachers seemed to be stalling
so that we wouldnt get to go for recess or something.
but its okay.

one of the teachers, the male one, idk his name,
said something like,
"Be a thermostat, not a thermometer!"

uh i'd rather be neither, good attempt on personification though.
*thumbs up*
hahahahahahaha

and his "i call the shots!" was classic.
whoa fierce!

oh yes the canteen has been revamped.
*acts excited*
it was no big deal, really.
i had ten bucks in my pocket and a drastically empty stomach,
but i saw the stalls and BAM(!) my appetite just ran away.
im not joking!

i wonder how i can survive the rest of the year
with only siew mais and fillet sandwiches.
hahahaha okay,
melodramatic much~

and the sec ones are okay i guess.
very decent. waaaaay too decent?
i dont know.
we'll see.

okay i dont remember what happened
but the council meeting was damn annoying one lor.
thank God i came late so i was sitting at the back row
with Ryan and Denard
and Shahir/Ahmad Shahir/Shari
(they came and went)

yeah and we talked talked talked,
which didnt do the school values any favours
(PRIDE: R stands for RESPECT! *proudly*) .

yeah anyway i got bored so i followed Shari and Ahmad out
and when i came back, the councillors were ... dancing?!?!?!
in the AVA room!
weird.
hahahaha
but okay, i danced in between Shaffiqa and the Aidil guy
and Shaffiqa fell off the stairs hahahaha!

and we got our orientation tees.
Shari contemplated a tough decision - whether to take size S or M.
HAHAHAHAHAHA

he finally decided S and i was like,
*nudges Shari* "chey Shari, pakai baju tight fit sehhhh"
and i have no idea why he blushed.
hahahaha!

hahaha and Ahmad Shahir was being really irritating! haha!
he was using this white foam thing and wounding it around his neck,
acting like his neck was injured and giving that pathetic sad face.
hahahahaha.
veeeeeeeery funny.

you know, i think Yes Man should be the movie of the year for 2008.
it made me laugh til my tummy hurt
and thank God i had already finished eating my nachos
before the movie even started,
hahahaha and bro spilled cheese on my playmobil bag, thank you very much

Zooey Deschanel! (i think)
hahahaha.
she stars as Allison in Yes Man.
(Y)

(please watch it, it's worth your ten bucks and one and a half hours)

i need to endure because next week's going to be hectic.

there'll be orientation, band audition for the sec ones
(im supposed to interview them) ,
and three days of band practice.
topped up with homework, homework and more delicious homework.
delightful 2009. *claps hands jovially*

*rolls eyes*

but then again, i'd rather be busy than have nothing to do.
... right?

i hope i wont miss too many lessons.
i hate missing first few lessons of the year.
because when i start joining in,
teachers have already taught the basics of the chapter
and i feel lost.
]=

anyway i've started on Homeostasis on Biology,
just for the fun of it,
and it's much more fascinating than i expected.

what could be interesting about regulating body temperature, seriously?
skin, of course!
i like skin!
hahahaha

everything about the chapter is interesting,
like how goosebumps appear when hair erector muscles contract,
and my tutor said there different amount of touch receptors
(something like that, i forget the name)
in different parts of the body,
so when a couple gets intimate
and touches a certain part of his/her partner's body,
the partner gets more aroused.
hahahaha
fascinating or what!

2. im hooked on the Ting Tings!
i need my daily dosage of the Ting Tings!
i dont care if i have to struggle to take my Mp4 out of my bag in the morning
when im clamped in between strangers' armpits in the bus or what!
I REPEAT, I NEED MY DAILY DOSAGE OF THE TING TINGS!

and their acoustics are bestttttttt

yay!
i think im suffering from obsessive compulsive disorder in lots of ways,
(including being obsessed with even numbers,
sorry i cant help liking even numbers more than odd numbers!
odd numbers are so... odd)

anyway band was very satisfying yesterday.
despite the fact that i screwed my Fate of the Gods solos
and the flutter-tongue in Flying High.
i am such a loser.

Wen Xiang (a member of the alumni)
took the band because Mrs Chee wasnt around, fortunately.
i like Wen Xiang alot,
my respect for him has shot up by 150%.

and i hate the fact that Mrs A. Gan (our main new teacher in charge) ,
keeps interrupting the practice when we're at the most exciting part of the song.
for example, we were playing Flying High
and adrenaline was practically buzzing through my veins
when she burst in and started talking. spoiler or what

five or ten minutes is tolerable
but did she really need thirty minutes
to talk about matters we already knew?

eh, im never going to eat at Swensens' again.
i dont like Swensens' and
i dont get why people are willing to spend
100+ bucks on a meal at Swensens'!
i want my moneh back *sings*

i didnt have an awesome first-day-of-the-year
but watching Yes Man was a good start!

and chilling at ECP with my guitar and Zulfikar
(who snapped the second string thank you very much)
was a very ideal last day of the year.
(in spite of the fatal heat, hahaha)

oh, and dinner with my family and no lights out, yay!
anyway i think Lot 1's Pizza Hut offers the best service ever!
everyone was so friendly and efficient,
despite the fact that one of the waiters tripped over the table i was sitting at.
hahahaha, how demoralising.

and by the way Zul loves reading now,
standing ovation for me for dragging him to the library despite his protests!
=D

but he was the one who found the book by Jill Mansell
so i owe him my thanks too.
thank you Zul!
hahahaha

im tired and im craving for a Kinder Bueno. or some mushroom soup.
or some sushi. or a can of tuna. or redbull.
or Subway chewy chocolate chip cookies.
or lasagne.

yes, lasagne would be perfect.

thank you for taking the trouble to read this whole entry.
i love you very much, whoever you are.
