flickr.com/people/tiffanykrumpack/today, i was sitting on my bed and
observing the
spectrum on my wooden floors.
the sunlight was creeping in through the window.
i took a picture with my miserable
2.0megapixels camera phone.
i'd never seen anything so
splendid before.
(the spectrum, not the picture)
i made my way to my window and peered out.
the weather was unusually perfect
and the sky seemed to
shimmer with possibilities! =D
i opened my window and, on impulse, i screamed.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
it wasn't enough. i wanted
more.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
more! more!
more!
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"exploding with satisfaction,
i heard
the echo of my shill scream accompanied by
the chirping of birds.
it felt so good.
i laughed at the clueless people downstairs at the streets,
looking around,
probably expecting to see
a female barbarian brandishing a dead animal.
hah!
i was about to shut the window
when i spotted two boys at the opposite
30-storey-high block.
they were throwing
paper planes down
from the corridor of the 28th storey!
i watched with glee.
one of the paper planes crashed after half a minute of floating around.
the other paper plane
flew,
as free as the southern wind,
carried by the breeze
...
as carefree as can be.
i stared longingly and enviously at it.
if flew for a minute or two,
cherishing its moment of freedom,
which was all it had before it crashed.
i closed the window
and started to make my way back to my spot on the bed.
halfway, i stopped and headed back to the window.
i opened it.
"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

La vita e' bella. life is beautiful.
i dont know how come i'd never noticed,
but you only live once.
just like the paper plane.
