i sing, i write. therefore, i am.

bird-watching
Without a wish, without a will, I stood upon that silent hill
And stared into the sky until my eyes were blind with stars
And still, I stared into the skytoday, i awoke with a smile.
it was raining, it was overwhelming.
it compensated for the redundant telling-off i got
from my dad the night before.
i took a bath, and remembered that
i was supposed to be in school in an hour for some
bird-watching,
in other words,
the much-dreaded Operation Distinction.
well, that didn't stop me from taking a stroll around my neighbourhood.
what? it's much better than listening to
Miss Karen. -___-
plus the weather was perfect.
it stopped raining,
and every few seconds
i shivered in the morning breeze.
it felt just like 3am. it was perfect.
i couldn't resist a stroll, i just
HAD to seize the opportunity.
i would've danced the whole way
if a dog had not come up to me with an uncanny hungry look on its face..
it made me paranoid, i swear!
and the stupid owner didn't tie her dog up
and she smacked it with a newspaper
and yelled,
"Koko! Koko!"that is the most boring name a person could ever name a dog.
i wouldve named a dog Shrimp. or Speach.
... or Dog.
so anyway, i kept walking aimlessly with my ampeefour plugged in,
playing Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles.
it was just perfect, there's no other word to describe the moment.
of course, if given a choice i wouldn't want the sun to come
but the song just seemed perfect
even though it marked the end of a cold season and the beginning of summer.
Summer, which, in Singapore, is the only season. -.-
i ended up more or less half an hour late which isn't so bad.
bird-watching was boring.
but Ahdila, Haziq and Khairul's company made it better by a notch.
and i just realized i havent handed in the Pre-Test essay.
hahaha ass. whatever.
after bird-watching we headed to Harbourfront
because the three twats wanted to get clothes for Friday.
Ahdila didn't let me get anything
because according to her
i've too many clothes but that's not true!
im a girl!!!!!! it's never enough!
come on, girls, agree with me!
)=
i found a real masterpiece for Ahdila.
the boys refused to listen to me and Ahdila.
in the end Haziq fell in love with a top i found
and Khairul didn't get anything even though he brought the most money.
and i saw this top from River Island, mens' section.
fuhh! a real work of art!
so anyway some idiot trailed me and Ahdila for a few metres
and shouted "girl! girl! girl!"
cant he see the 'Audrey' tag on my bag?
i put Audrey's nametag on my bag so people will acknowledge me as Audrey.
anyway i spotted him from the reflection in a shop window
so i told Ahdila to walk faster but she ignored me.
the boy caught up and he was holding his phone out
so yeah you can guess what he wanted. -__-
i said no and he was like, "can ah..."
wtf ah then i just walked away.
"primary school tactic,"according to Taufik. (Taufiq?)
im not against boys asking girls for their numbers or emails or whatever.
but a tip for you boys,
just do it politely.
you dont have to shout "GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL GIRL"
as if the girl needs reminders that shes actually a girl. -__-
just freaking chase her and ask politely
and dont attempt to act cool or charming or what.
it's such a turn-off.
im fatigued and im not sure why.
it's so lonely at home now, really.
my brother's hardly at home anymore
and my parents dont exactly talk much except during dinner.
and the first thing my mom will do when she reaches home
is scold me because the windows arent open 'big enough'.
damn it.
for some reason i'm starting to look forward to Friday night.
it's been a while since i last went out at night.
i really need to sky-gaze.
it's a frigging need.
Singapore is such a concrete jungle
everywhere you go a huge tall building
is blocking your sight of anything that's beautiful and natural.
you look up and expect to see the sky,
but instead you see a building.
or the top of a building, at least.
everything i lay my eyes on seems so artificial it makes me sick.
