so anyway,
i cant believe mom got me two sets of baju kurungs this year.
i told her not to get any at all,
cause i can wear the ones from last year,
and even the ones from when i was in sec two.
it's not like i grew much anyway!

but actually i like the one mom got me on Sunday.
we went to Johore (LOL FYEAH MALAYSIA JANNA'S HOMELAND!!!!)
it's a kebaya,
(LOL WTF I TYPED KEBAYA
AND THE STUPID AUTOMATIC SPELL CHECKER
CHANGED THE WORD TO KEBAB!!!)
yeah so anyway it's a kebaya and the top is white and bottom's black
it sounds so strange here but it actually looks pretty good!
the top was waaaay too big for me,
the tailor and salespeople said im really small,
which is quite shocking
because ive never really seen myself as 'small'.
=/
lol im not small!
i think 157cm is pretty tall! *trying to make myself feel not-small*

anyway the other set mom got me is maroon!
i went WATAFFFFF!? when i saw it
cause i do not like maroon at all, PERIOD!
i mean seriously, maroon?!
that's the colour of blood clot, damn it!
(i don't care if your favorite colour is maroon,
it looks like blood clot and i do not like it.)

im also wearing one of mom's old kebayas,
it's electric blue, and has like colorful streaks along the hem.

mom bought it when she was twenty-one.
she said she went out with her friends
and saw it and got mesmerized and bought it straightaway.
knowing mom, she NEVER does that.
she doesn't act on impulse,
she thinks for a few hours or even days and weeks
before doing something hahaha,
pretty much the exact opposite of me.

so anyway she bought it and shopped somemore and lost track of time
and she got home past midnight and got a spanking (i think)
from my grandpa!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA eh but poor mom )=
i don't get a spanking when i come home past midnight,
but i suppose it's cause i've got a phone and can tell my parents beforehand.

remember when i said my band scored a performance next month?

it's for a fashion bazaar,
and im not sure if it's confirmed,
but it seems like it.
it's at Fort Canning Park and my bandmates are stoked,
so stoked that Kenneth Phooi is flying back from Australia just to play with us.

is it me or is Paramore so absolutely amazing it's almost surreal?!?!?!
and i don't give a damn that they've gone mainstream.
i've been listening to Paramore for so many years now,
and i still love them as much as i did when i first heard them.
im just concerned, why don't they release
their more amazing songs as singles for the world to hear?
songs like Brighter and Turn It Off and All I Wanted
and Fences and Never Let This Go sure deserve more plays.

y'know i don't like it when people diss bands that've gone mainstream.
why should i stop listening to a band just cause theyve gone mainstream?

as long as fame and arrogance don't conquer them.

so i was chilling in mah room the other day
thinking about life and i realized that i really do miss a few people
i havent seen since holidays began.

first up, Ahdila. definitely Ahdila.
we live just a few blocks away yet we rarely see each other.
we were hoping or red week (lol) would clash
so we don't have to fast
and so we can pig out in my room
but they didn't clash so plan = fail.

we still text but i havent seen him for more than a month!
i didnt even celebrate his birthday with him!

i wna go out with Ahdila and Mifdhal
and sit at Lido's McCafe and listen to R&B music
(i think that is the only time i listen to R&B)
while sipping on double chocolate frappe
and eating grapes Mifdhal got us!

i love grapes!
on Saturday i bought a box of grapes and ate'em while walking down the street feeling awesome.
i didnt even bother to wash them first cause ... well idk.
was i supposed to wash the grapes in the public toilet's basin or something? =/

then we'd do the chicken step thing

and Felicia and i would fail-moonwalk while singing
